With Ian giving us a great start winning the 2 Wood singles easily thoughts started to turn to an unexpected victory against Whitnash. The quartet of Ken, John, Mark and Ted raced into an early lead whilst unfortunately the triple of Jamie, Terry and Denis were being over whelmed by the bowling of their opponents. Meanwhile Stu had also taken an early lead in the 4 Wood singles and the pair of Bob J who was recovering from an overnight bout of sickness and Tony were also struggling.  Unfortunately Stu's bad back returned and he narrowly lost his singles. Ted's rink lost their early lead but managed to fight off their opposition to win and make the score 2 - 1. Although Deni's triple recovered they were well beaten making it 2 - 2 with everything depending on the pairs. Despite a great comeback the pairs narrowly loss giving Whitnash victory.
