Well this should have been the first week of a new season and whilst our green is looking lovely under the care of Ken and David we obviously can't bowl on it. Hopefully it won't be too long before the lockdown is eased though whether it will be sufficient for all or just some of us to get on the green is something that we will just have to wait and see. What is obvious that with pubs being the last industry to re-open there is very little likelihood of any form of socialising taking place this year. With 3 of our tour venues already writing the season off I suspect that anything more than being allowed to have roll-ups, whilst maintaining social distancing, will be a bonus. Either way we will be guided by Bowls England on what we can and cannot do but please be assured that this club. sadly unlike some others, will still be around at this end of this terrible time.
In the mean time please stay safe and let us hope that it won't be too long before we can all meet up again to play bowls.
